5 Things to Know About Tousey Winery

Every so often, we feature a new winery or brewery in the Hudson Valley (we wrote about Nostrano Vineyards a few weeks ago). Today, we’re talking about Tousey Winery in Germantown. In September 2017, they won Winery of the Year at the Hudson Valley Wine and Food Fest. Here are five more things to know.

1. Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir are produced on Tousey’s 15 acres.

2. The winery was started by Ray Tousey, who decided to turn his family’s property into a vineyard. Today, it’s still family-owned: Ray’s daughter, Kimberly, took it over and now runs it with her husband, Ben Peacock.

4. The Heirloom Cafe, which was started by graduates from The Culinary Institute of America, is attached to the tasting room.

5. After trying different whites and reds, shop for organic honey, handmade soap and work from local artists.

Tousey Winery is located at 1774 Route 9 #1, Germantown, NY. For more information and hours, visit TouseyWinery.com. If you need a business attorney or are wondering how to get a liquor license in NY, contact us today.
